Titans is a web television series based on the DC Comics team Teen Titans.

The series is developed by Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns and Greg Berlanti. Greg Walker served as the showrunner and the first season premiered on October 12, 2018. The second season premiered on September 6, 2019 before the conversion of DC Universe into a digital comic subscription service. As a result, the third and later seasons was moved to HBO Max and the third season premiered on August 12, 2021. On October 16, 2021, the series was renewed for a fourth season.

Titans intended a spin-off Doom Patrol and was later confirmed to take place in a separate continuity on the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover events. The event also placed Titans on Earth-9 with multiple characters making cameo appearances through archive footages in the event.

    Synopsis[edit source]

Titans follows a group of young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and fight evil in a darker take on the classic Teen Titans narrative. The group features Dick Grayson, a conflicted retired superhero sidekick, and Rachel Roth, a young girl tormented by her mysterious demonic powers and a cult hell-bent on her capture. Joining them are the hot-headed alien protector, Starfire, and loveable shape-shifting outcast, Beast Boy.[1]
